The Major League Baseball winter meetings started Monday in Indianapolis.

Some former local stars are possibly looking to join new teams, including St. Francis High graduate Mark Loretta and Glendale resident Juan Castro.

Loretta and Castro, who are infielders, helped the Los Angeles Dodgers win the National League’s West Division this season.

St. Francis High graduate Gregg Zaun inked a new deal with the Milwaukee Brewers last week, while former Glendale Community College standout Freddy Sanchez re-signed with the San Francisco Giants earlier this offseason.

The meetings conclude Friday.
