Weaver hit with $9K fine
CITY HALL — City Councilman Dave Weaver has agreed to pay the state $9,000 for violating campaign finance law during his 2005 City Council election bid, according to a proposed settlement with the California Fair Political Practices Commission, which must still approve the deal.

Dept. eyes ‘green’ water
CITY HALL — The city’s Public Works Department is moving to use recycled water for street sweeping, sewer flushing and car washing at its maintenance yard — a change that could save using 2.5 million gallons of potable water each year.

Airport rental cars add fee
