The Philadelphia Eagles, who are coached by Glendale High alumnus Andy Reid, kept pace with the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East Division by coming from behind to beat the Washington Redskins, 27-24, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon.

David Akers kicked a 32-yard field goal with 1:48 remaining after the Eagles had tied the game on a 90-yard touchdown drive and two-point conversion about five and a half minutes earlier.

It marked the second time in two weeks that the Eagles, who are in second place in  the division at 7-4 behind Dallas (8-3), have rallied to take and hold a lead late in the fourth quarter after the team came back from a three-point deficit to beat the Chicago Bears, 24-20, on Nov. 22.
