Sixth-grader Amy LeVoir dresses up as her assigned vocabulary word in her sixth-grade class at Fremont Elementary School (Photo by Max Zimbert)

Sixth-grade students at Fremont Elementary School created costumes based on vocabulary words they were assigned.

Amy LeVoir explained what an ‘Ode’ is. Another student donned a Dodger cap and tapped common “heckles” fans might shout at an oppossing team.

Another student wore an odd, box-shaped hat and stood to explain what “empathy” means. He did so by revealing a stuffed animal bear and his costume as a nun, as Mother Theresa.
