Local teams set to take part in second-round matches

The Hoover High boys’ water polo and the Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy will continue their playoff paths Thursday.

Hoover will meet Pacifica in a CIF Southern Section Division VI second-round match at 7:30 p.m. at Burbank High after picking up a 14-11 win against Rowland on Tuesday.

Flintridge Sacred Heart will batle powerhouse Mira Costa in a Division I-AA second-round match at 7 p.m.

The Tologs rallied from an 0-2 deficit to topple Orange Lutheran in an opening-round home contest.

Mira Costa has won 15 CIF titles since 1972.
