[DEVELOPING] Glendale officials today announced a settlement with Gangi Development Center that swaps two acres of residential-zoned land for 18 acres of open space.

Per the agreement, Glendale will receive 18 acres of undeveloped land southeast of Pennsylvannia Avenue at the terminus of Deerpass Road. In exchange, Gangi will recieve roughly two acres of city-owned land for multi-family residential development.

Glendale acquired the two-acre parcel from the state after the 210 Freeway was built.

Since 1998, Glendale has acquired more than 585 acres of undeveloped land, according to the city.
