City releases Quality of Life report

In case you haven’t read one of the stories I have written on the issue, here’s a heads-up on the city’s 2009 Quality of Life indicators report, which became available to the public on Friday.

The report, which  measures everything from water quality to infant mortality rates, provides benchmarks on the city’s health.

The report uses data from a number of sources — including Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, the U.S. Census Bureau and the city’s own statistics.

The first report, which took seven years to compile, was released in 2002.
