From the La Cañada Valley Sun:

Two masked men robbed the Chase bank on the corner of Foothill and Commonwealth at 9:45 a.m. Thursday and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money, sheriff’s deputies said.

The suspects, armed with what were later determined to be fake guns, took over the bank and exited with the stolen cash in backpacks, said Lt. Larry Landreth of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“[The suspects] opened the [bank’s] doors and showed their guns,” Landreth said. “One announced it was a robbery while the other opened the tellers’ drawers.”
