Poll results: Otto Huber, the founder and 40-year owner of Otto’s Import Store and Delicatessen, died. He was 77. Huber was among the last remaining holdouts from a era where family-run businesses were the norm. Do you think family-run shops are important for Burbank?

chartbl(1) Yes. I do my best to support mom-and-pop shops. (91 votes, 93%)

(2) No. convenience and prices are more important. (7 votes, 7%)

Current poll: Residents threatened by tree branches seek claims for damages, but are often deferred to small-claims court. Should the city be held more accountable for falling branches?

No. Only if the city creates or maintains dangerous conditions and has been notified to correct the problem.

Yes. The city needs to do a better job of policing public spaces instead of waiting for limbs to fall.
