Round 2 of boxing in Glendale
Glendale’s Kahren Harutyunyan and his Art of Boxing Promotions, in conjunction with Bash Boxing, are bringing boxing back to the Jewel City once again.
After an event in June — the city’s first sanctioned boxing event in more than 60 years — the Glendale Civic Auditorium will host Glendale Glory 2 on Jan. 8, 2010.
The card is set to be headlined by a 12-round middleweight main event between Roman “Made in Hell” Karmazin and Dionisio “Mister Knockout” Miranda.
The event will also be broadcast live on ESPN2 as the network’s 2010 premiere of “Friday Night Fights.”
The event is also scheduled to feature many of the same local fighters that the first Glendale Glory did such as previous main-eventer Andrey Fedosov, a rising heavyweight, and Glendale up-and-comers Art “Lionheart” Hovhannesyan and Gapo “The Ghost” Tolmajyan.
